Our class 01 startup, The Renal Project, has raised a second round of funding from a clutch of international angel investors to the tune of $300,000. Incubated by Niti Ayog’s Atal Incubation Centre, they were funded by 100X.VC in December 2019. Since then, they have steadily grown and created value for hundreds of patients suffering from renal kidney problems.
The funds will be utilized to create micro-dialysis centers across the country in tier 2 and 3 cities, where access to dialysis services are low and frequently forbiddingly expensive. The Renal Project aims to have built a 1000 centers across Tier 2 and 3 cities in the country over the next decade.
With the advent of COVID-19, most other life-threatening conditions that needed attendance went to the background. At a time like this, the need for creating affordable micro-dialysis centers is of paramount importance. Founded in 2019 by Shashank Moddhia, The Renal Project is filling a very important gap in the healthcare ecosystem in the country.
The post-pandemic reality has put healthcare at the forefront of most human concerns and goals. At a time like this, The Renal Project is creating immeasurable value for patients that could not afford or avail dialysis services. The 100X.VC team is proud to have partnered and enabled Shashank’s vision, one that will save many lives in the years to come.
