Mr. Jamwal, a seasoned investor, is responsible for the conceptualization/ ideation, strategy and incubation of new ventures, as well as investments made by Tata Industries in new businesses since 2010. He executed turn-around and sale of existing businesses such as DIESL Logistics, Advinus Therapeutics, and Tata Advanced Materials. He chaired the Board of the latter two companies as well as of Tata Unistore Ltd. (Tata CliQ) and Tata SmartFoodz Ltd. before their sale by Tata Industries. He is also on the Board of Tata companies such as Tata ClassEdge Ltd., which provides K-12 learning solutions (where he serves as Director and Chair of the Board), Inzpera Healthsciences, a health sciences company that markets palatable and efficacious therapeutic products as well as Tata Medical & Diagnostics, a leading-edge healthcare solutions provider. He is also a member on the Board of the overseas subsidiary of Tata Industries — Qubit Investments (Singapore) and represents Qubit on the boards of i3 Equity Partners, a Tel Aviv based technology incubator in IoT (Internet of Things) and industrial IoT; and SDX Partners LLC, USA, which provides seed funding to student-initiated business ideas at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston. In his personal capacity, Mr. Jamwal has made over 80 angel investment via platforms such as 100x, IAN as well as directly. He prefers startups that are attempting to solve real problems, at scale.
